About

I am an italian karting and rally driver

I was born on September 1996, I have been regularly driving since turning 4 years old. Son of a successful rally driver and a co driver, you might think that having parents who both have motorsport in their blood might mean a career behind the wheel was inevitable, but this wasn't the case, I chose my own way.

What followed was several years racing in kart – very fast, driving around the world from circuits in Europe to circuits in Africa, North America, Asia and Australia. The first race win didn't take long, winning my second kart race at 7 years old. By 2008 I won the European Championship, and then after stepping up to a higher class I claimed the Italian karting championship in 2009 and 2011. Also in 2011 I competed in the World Championship challenging drivers like Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, Esteban Ocon and George Russel.

After years of circuit racing the new challenge was rallying - a sport synonymous with the Vita name. After learning the ropes in Italian junior events, in 2018 I stepped up to the European Rally Championship finishing fifth in the ERC Junior U27 category, following a series of top four finishes in my first season competing in rallies outside my home country.

My experiences

  • First steps in motorsport
    2000 - 2005

At the age of 4 I jumped in my first 50cc Kart, under the supervision of my father, Gianluca Vita, European 2WD Rally Champion.

  • National and International achievements
    2006 - 2012

I claimed the Italian Karting Championship both in 2007 and 2011. In 2008 I won the European Minikart Championship and in 2011 I finished 7th in the World Karting Championship.

  • Single seaters
    2013 - 2016

I made my debut in Formula cars in 2013 taking part to the European F3 Open Championship, scoring an impressive pole position during my first ever single seater race, in Paul Ricard. In 2014 I competed in the Formula Car Challenge, in California, under the guide of Jeff Andretti, son of the Motorsport legend Mario Andretti. At my first apparison, in Sonoma, I scored my first oversea podium.

  • Rally career
    Since 2017

In 2017 I made my debut in a Rally car. What followed are many years rallying across the continent, being exposed to a diverse set of conditions from technical asphalts to flat-out fast gravel roads. Definitely the most intense driving experience in the earth.
